Strict product liability is one of the theories which allow a legal action after a product causes an injury. Under strict product liability, a plaintiff can recover damages without having to show negligence on the part of a product's manufacturer or seller if the plaintiff can establish that the product was defective and that the defective nature of the product rendered it unreasonably dangerous to a foreseeable user.
